The Glute Rack gets the gluteal muscles working better in the squat for rehabilitation and/or strengthening. It is designed to enhance the activation of the gluteal muscles, particularly the gluteus medius muscles, which are crucial for pelvic, core and lower limb stability in functional movement. Lots of people have poor glutes, even inactive glutes giving a flat appearance to the buttocks. Many athletes are quads dominant and their glutes are not functioning at all. When this happens, squats can cause knee pain and back pain.
Glute Rack activates the glutes in the isometric standing abduction and squat exercises. The way it is designed maintains correct hip and knee alignment in the squat and protects the ankles, knees and back from pain. The Glute Rack makes the gluteal muscles work more effectively than other methods, better than bands. Try it yourself !!
Other features of the Glute Rack include:
Cutouts at the front and rear which aid in the operation, reduce overall weight and increase the aesthetic appeal. Looks great in your Pilates studio, gym, or at home.
Replaceable foam rubber pads on the sides for the feet.
The unit is able to be dismantled by way of 4 mm allan key fasteners.
Light weight but strong structural timber build.
Made individually by hand in Melbourne !!
The Glute Rack was invented in Melbourne by Dr Henry Wajswelner, an Australian Sports Physiotherapist, former Australian Olympic Team, Australian Rowing Team and AIS physio, for use with athletes and people recovering from hip, hamstring or back injuries. He uses it in his rehabilitation clinic and its being used by many other sports physios and in the AFL. Now available for the first time to the public at Fitness Show Melbourne.
